Getting Social Media Videos Into Your Photo Library
Downloading a social media video is only half the battle. Getting it properly into your iPhone Camera Roll or Android Gallery — so it appears alongside your personal photos and is included in backups — requires a few extra steps depending on your device and browser.
iPhone: Saving to Camera Roll

- After tapping Download on the downloader website, the video should open in a new Safari tab.
- Tap and hold the video player, then choose Download Linked File or Save to Files.
- Open the Files app, navigate to Downloads, tap the video, tap the Share icon, and choose Save Video to move it to your Camera Roll.

The free Documents app acts as a better download manager for iOS. Download the video within Documents' built-in browser, then export it directly to the Photos app from there.
Android: Saving to Gallery
- Chrome on Android saves downloaded files to the Downloads folder automatically.
- Open your Gallery or Photos app and check the Albums section — Downloads usually appears as a separate album.
- To move files to your main Camera album, long-press the video in the Downloads album and choose Move to Camera.
